Getting Started with JavaScript SDK

Get started with the JavaScript SDK on the Algorand network! This video tutorial walks through installing sandbox, installing the SDK, creating an account, funding the account. Also, we walk through doing your first transaction with instantiating your client, building a payment transaction, signing, sending to an Algorand TestNet account and retrieving the confirmed transaction details from the blockchain.

It's sort of helpful but I think it's a bit lazy in that the documentation says to type npm init, but doesn't give a project name or say what it actually does. I think you need more steps to make people be able to follow it. Like you don't explain how to create a project and go straight into algorand which is fine assuming people are used to working with node.js but it's incomplete for those that aren't. Like i ran npm init and then gave a project name but it didn't generate anything that i could see in terms of a project, so I don't know what is part of the git and what npm init did. Already lost before I got started

when I command ./sandbox up, i only get return "algod version" :O what's wrong ??
