Your videos are absolutely so informative and have guided me in my classical record collecting. Another great video.

I have collected much of Heifetz records, including many from the 1930's and 40's. And I have acquired many of the original LPs and their reissues and agree with your video related to this recording. When I was about 7 years old I hear Heifetz at a concert because and aunt took me. That performance was the reason for my violin studies. I have heard many excellent violinists but that first impression is unforgettable.

Another informative video. Your pressing by pressing compares are invaluable.

I have the AP33, but I don’t own nor ever heard any of the others. That said, I completely agree with you about the AP33. It is quite beautiful. Of course, the music is most important and I love the piece, and triple love Jascha’s performance. He’s my all time favorite violinist, Stern is great, Milstein is great, but none quite move me like Heifetz.

Yes, completely agree about the jacket, AP does a fantastic job on almost all of these jackets, and of course consistently top notch SQ.

As always, your recommendations are very reliable and I’m happy you’re exposing record collectors and lovers of great music to these amazing records.

Afternoon, Scott. I was intrigued to see you review this Living Stereo disc. I picked up a shaded dog copy last month at my local Habitat for Humanity/Restore thrift shop. Would probably grade at VG+ But, it was only $1.00, so I couldn't resist. It's a 4S, Indianapolis pressing. Sounds magnificent. As always, many thanks to you.

Hi Scott. This is the last record in the store I have been getting all my LS titles from. I was hoping you were going to say it was no good, but that was always unlikely. Back to the store then...🤣
Thanks for all the advice.

Now you've got me wanting the AP. Funnily, I have a Classic Records version - but it's one I've never really seen around: a 2xLP s/sided 33rpm on 200g clarity vinyl - separated out into two jackets. The blank side of each disc has the Classic Records insignia etched into the wax. So bizarre. I found it at a record shop here in LA called High-Fidelity, which coincidentally is run by two ex-Classic Records employees. They have a few boxes of sealed titles from the original inventory that they keep in the back. This title being one. Original retail price was honored. Unreal! It does sound very good, too!

FWIW I made a mistake in my post. The RTI test pressing of this recording is a single disc 33.3 speed got it mixed up with another RTI of BrianWilsonPresentsSmile which is 2 LPs. Also a stereo orig disc is not where I would have filed it - This means my LSC-2603 is very likely a re-press and stored in with Wdogs or RLabel records or maybe even a LM mono pressing!

As I upgrade my analog front end, I’m realizing more than ever that the real source isn’t just the gear—it’s the vinyl itself. The mastering, the pressing quality, and even different editions of the same album can make or break the listening experience. No turntable, cartridge, or phono stage can fix a poorly made record, but a great pressing? That’s where the magic really happens.

Excellent comparison thank you. Haha it's nice to hear your addiction denial... "..I think I'm done"... I've said that a few times :) :)

After hearing what a haircut costs in your city, I'd recommend buying some of your own clippers and cutting it yourself. If you get a butch, you won't have to worry about a comb and a brush anymore. I could swear that I've seen this Heifetz album in the wild in days of old when I wasn't really focusing on classical music. Heifetz was to the violin what Louis Armstrong was to the trumpet and what Jimi Hendrix was to the guitar. A lot of what you're hearing in Heifetz's sound is not just his brilliant talent but also his Stradivarius violin. I seem to be having pretty good luck finding LS shaded dog titles in the wild, so I really hope that I run across this title or maybe I'll buy the AP version. As always, thanks for bringing this title to my attention in a way that only you can. 👍👍👍

Every time I see or hear Heifitz, I think of Jack Benny. He was Jack's idol

Hello Scott, Tony from Chicago. I wanted you to know that I had to reach out to Acoustic Sounds about the defective Diana Krall album. They are going to send my replacement copy of the 2nd album. I had to submit an email to the return department with my order number. I’m not sure why this wasn’t done automatically as they had previously stated in their email.

I have a 2D/2D UK Decca pressing (SB-6503), it sounds fantastic! Suggest you to grip one from e-bay or discography if price/condition are decent.😊

Hi Scott. How did you score your copy of The RCA Bible? I’ve been looking for years but no luck. Cheers
