So neither my 13 ProMax nor 14 ProMax will enter ‘Standby’ mode.
Phones being charged with Lightning cable.
Both phones updated to 17.0.2.

Does the phone need to be on a wireless charger ?
Does auto-rotate setting matter?

Edit: found ‘rotate lock’ in Control Center, but it does not work.. phones will NOT rotate to horizontal.

The crossfade only works when you have apple music? Or does it also work if you only have mp3 music added ? Cause I dont see this crossfade option in music settings.

You don’t need to use a MagSafe stand in order to use standby. You can use a lightning/usb c cable and place the phone on any stand as long as the phone is mostly horizontal.
