Washington state, USA. I went home the same day after my surgeries. Both hips, first 9 June '21 and 13 October '21. Didn't go to physio the second time. Each time when I awoke from the anesthesia, I marveled at how the pain was gone, gone, gone. Same story as Nicola's, but a different timeline. Symptoms started two years ago. I thought it was my back. They worsened autumn of '20. Physio didn't do much. If I could've had both hips done on the same day... I'm 2.5 weeks out from the last, I've been on the tennis courts hitting balls for the last four days. In two more weeks, I'll be permitted to go back to the swimming pool. About that time, I'll be able to play tennis with more vigor. I'm so grateful for great technology.

I am getting this surgery April 24. I was so scared to going home the next day. I hope I do as well as you . Thank you for your story 😊

I had the same surgery 19 days ago at what's probably not too much of a different age. I'd thought I was doing reasonably well doing all my physio and walking about 1km in 2 sets a day, , but this video and the comments below now make me wonder. I'm nowhere near back to what used to be my normal activity levels and no way could I be in the gym or hitting tennis balls. 🥺
