I love the idea that you could throw some clamps on two carts to make one big boy cart for larger or awkward things.

when i was in construction when we remodded an apartment building and was my job to do all the doors, , , new doors in old frames yay, , anyways i built something similiar though much bigger, 3 shelves held all my tools for a mobile work station..would just take over an apartment do all my work for the floor out of it, , and your right cheaper to make than buy one..

I'd probably hate pocket holes too if I didn't install them right.

Don't know what's up with that jig, but those types of pocket screws should work fine and end up below the surface. When you using thin material you have to use those short one with the weird head, but I've never had them sit like that before, even in 12mm stock. From the looks of where the screws are sitting up, and where the holes comes out the bottom if you pause at 3:48, it looks like the jig was set too far down. And if was up slightly, the hole would have come out closer to center, there would be more room for the screw to fit into as well.

Like everyone does, I was gonna go with the Kreg PH jig. Then when I went to a woodworking show in Seacaucus, NJ I came across the one you’re using. I thought it was very cool so I just might go with that one.

Thank you for speaking truth on pocket holes! I can't stand the over-use by everyone... it's like Kreg gave me money, so I'm going to use them in the most inappropriate ways possible. So frustrating. /rant and love the videos!

Lots of good names already mentioned, I even liked a few.... But, if this third cart has no specific purpose and is purely for a backup, I think Cart-ingency Plan might be a viable option.... 👍🏻👊🏻

That cart 2D2 is a show stopper 😂. Hope you don't mind if I use that? Great video, bud! 👍

Hey John. I am a newbie at woodworking and one of the most daunting aspects to woodworking is understanding joinery and when/where it is most appropriate. You made a statement toward the beginning of the video regarding why you hate them and how people are using them incorrectly. You mentioned table tops. What are the correct joinery methods? I have seen videos where they use pocket holes and honestly...it gave me confidence that I could build a good dinner table using that joinery. Now I am not sure what to think. I appreciate your honesty and it keeps me coming back for more wisdom for my arsenal.

Am I the only one wondering why all of the silver pocket screws seem to be standing proud of the holes when they were screwed in?

Porter Cables pocket hole jig is the best on the market - IMO

These carts look great, thanks for sharing. Just a small criticism, from the video, it looks like every screw you put into those pocket holes got all f-ed up, is that correct? Looks like they got screwed in too far and split the wood, is that because of the screws? Also, cart Kim Cart-dashian?
