Assassins: *not dominating meta in one game mode*

Why i see none lb comments? It isn’t like she enters, poke you down till you die and the only counter play you can do is predict where and when she will jump with a cc skill shot, because otherwise that champ is inmortal

Riot does not play ARAM and it shows so much. As someone who's played nothing but ARAM for years, some of these champions need ARAM nerfs and yet they get buffs, and champions like Akali are getting two!? This is so bad. Riot games is at it again proving how little in-touch they are with their playerbase. Trust me Riot, the vast majority of ARAM assassins do not struggle. Maybe some like Kayn, Talon, Rek'Sai, and Kassadin I can understand, but like, Katarina? Akali? Pyke? Leblanc? Qiyana??? The people at this company are genuinely out of their minds and if League wasn't a swirling bowl of toilet water that everyone is stuck in then their game would be long dead by now with how their balance team manages the game. I swear it's like someone at Riot will play a match (assuming they ever do that, I know), have a bad game as a champion, and then buff the champion because of that. Hilarious how they even know that some champions will be super broken and we'll just have to deal with that for an entire patch before they even decide to dish out some light nerfs. Their response to someone saying that a lot of them need toning down is "Some champs don't need the help, but we're giving it to them anyway for no reason. If they're really powerful, wait for the next entire patch and we might nerf them a bit." God this company is a circus full of clowns who've never even seen the gameplay of their game.

As an aram veteran (6000+ games) I feel like it often comes down to team comp not a specific champion. Poke comps are the most oppressive and even if they don't win the most they are the least fun to play vs or even with

I’m an aram main. These are insane buffs to already strong or broken champions. Riot solely does aram patches around champ winrate and nothing else. Past patches have shown this time and again where hard-to-play champs get buffed but stomp the overall game when someone semi-confident picks them. Triumph is taken over precise of mind so that’s where the energy buff comes in but it’s completely unnecessary since energy champs don’t have issues since they go off others plays.

The nerf to ashe is solely cause they won’t buff adc ashe over mandate ashe so this might be some way to push away from mandate but it probably won’t matter as mandate proc and the overall haste will still be too high while adc ashe is still dead in terms of DPS.

Great patch for aram stompers, not so much for aram enjoyers, small win against mandate ashe.

Ashe has been the most annoying aram champion for so damn long. She goes ability haste and just fires ash arrows every 25-30 seconds which since it's one bridge it will more they likely hit someone and as long as she is somewhat back that person will be stunned for like 3 seconds which is death. Also not to mention her spamming her arrow cone attack

So, adcs are still doing -20% damage and receive +20% damage. Riot just keeps pampering their beloved assasins in every single way.

just buy merc treads and take a tenacity rune, holy shit. they are rewarding people who strictly google their champion builds and never buy defensive boots on damage champions.

That's absolutely moronic.
Assassins already have A HUGE damage buff and take less damage so they can build bruiserish and still do the same damage AND they also get sustain. This is absolute garbage change. If anything. Assassins needed to be nerfed damage wise, not buffed with tenacity too...

All the energy champions except for Lee and maybe Shen (not really imo) are cracked asf in ARAM, I want whatever Rito is smokin

katarina has been ridiculous to play against ever since they changed her passive to use on hit. every kat i play against builds sundered, titanic, with the rest on hit tanks situational items. she does not need buffs in the chaos that is aram

hi. i've played a lot of aram. enough to get me aram god and top 50 dps threat in your region. I think the buffs are most impactful on champions that don't normally take green and yellow runes, and kayn. I find myself most of the time playing with legend tenacity & unflinching just to pre-emptively deal with cc-heavy comps. the problem with your katarina, akali, etc. is they don't have good options to replace these runes; i guess katarina can go alacrity but it's realistically always going to fall short of tenacity's value. this applies to a lesser extent to the secondary page since you can take overgrowth.

i think red kayn is going to be too strong with innate tenacity, he can just take legend tenacity and revitalize, and he can always build ionian/tabi in that case.

increased energy regeneration on akali and zed are going to lower their skill floor by a lot. akali will be able to be more impactful pre-9 now, which translates to better gold generation early-game. zed probably won't have to hit double shurikens to be a carry anymore. i think they will be overtuned, even if their damage is lowered to compensate.

nerf to ashe is a good first step. problem is she gets above 100 haste really easily so her late-game isn't affected. biggest change will be to her mid-game. i hope this won't promote more people picking liandry's on ashe. liandry's is very bad because it doesn't do meaningful damage to other high-impact champions; tanks and bruisers mitigate and sustain her poke, ad characters can build bork, goredrinker, or bloodthirster and sustain through it that way. you also lose a valuable supportive tool in mandate.

the innate problem with aram is that the most popular champions tend to be poke champions that cannot deal meaningful damage to high-impact champions or provide utility to the team. champions like ap miss fortune, xerath, lux, ap nasus, ad varus, zyra to some extent, etc.
in addition, immobile adcs often struggle to impact the game because of mark: caitlyn, jinx, ad miss fortune, etc.

you may notice that those champions are the ones that get a lot of complaints; but that is because those people only play similarly low-impact champions that cannot engage or deal with their poke.

on the other hand, reset champions are too strong, for pretty obvious reasons, if not that they gain some sort of buff that again, mitigates poke done to them prior to getting a takedown. see deaths dance builders, but in particular, katarina, aatrox, and samira.

ARAM aficionado here, energy changes are nice, imo presence of mind rune was mandatory for akali and zed, now more optional.

Tenacity thing is eyebrow raising, I'm so used to assassins just being feast or famine, usually determined by how much cc you're facing. But tbh I think ADCs need this more than assassins because assassins either pop off or they don't but there's so many games where a low range low mobility adc feels so useless because they have basically no counterplay to cc chains.

Ashe full ability haste build was one of my fav things this is a sad nerf. You start tear, double longsword, boots, 1 pot. Rush axiom arc, build tear into seraphs, go liandrys for mythic, then get cosmic drive, lucidity boots obv, finish build with whatever situational. With transcendence rune, ultimate hunter, and flat ability haste stat you can get R down to a 20 second CD pretty quickly, before Axiom reset. This build is not dead with the -20 nerf but much less fun.

As far as "what's op" well it's a little rock/paper/scissors. Generally poke beats DPS, tanks beat poke, DPS beats tanks. But in general spam poke champs with cc like ziggs xerath and vex are strong. Heimer Zyra and Anivia can be oppressive because zone control and waveclear/push. Control mages can't be underestimated, a good Janna can literally control an entire game, Lulu and Karma also strong in the right hands. And certain champ passives that weren't designed for constant combat like Veigar and Brand are literally unfair. Thresh's is more lowkey op, having 200 armor without building any is wild. And Ornn with his upgrades, scaling, and reliable engage is just as busted on murder bridge as he is on rift but apart from that no tanks stand out they're all equally useful.

Oh and how could I forget healers. They'll tell you healing is nerfed on ARAM, it's a lie don't believe it. Sona Sera and Soraka are the absolute bane of my existence. And of course everyone hates that stupid cat on a book.

And lastly the most obnoxious and tilting champ to play against in ARAM would have to be a good Zilean, but teemo and shaco are eternally hated and never far behind. But when rito experimented with ARAM ban phase that one time I literally always banned Zil because to hell with him.
