One reason I feel there might not be many Spooky / Scary / Horror mini-golf courses is that to get it right, it might not be very kid friendly. And some people just really aren't into that kind of stuff. Dinosaurs on the other hand, everyone loves dinosaurs. how many courses have you two been to where there was a random dinosaur. And dozens where the whole course is dino themed.
