The TUF H3 has a really poor microphone. Its' recording really low, and it's terrible. I still cannot find a fix for this. Anybody with a similar problem have any luck sorting this out?

can someone help? just received a pair of this as a gift. Headphones work flawlessly, but microphone output is so low that unless I have it directly touching my lips you almost can't hear anything. I did all the usual troubleshooting and settings checks. Is it broken? :/
