Back in the day, an artist's main asset was his/her talent, and one-hit wonders were common because many could write a good song, but not enough to make a lasting career. Now artists are brands, and there are huge teams behind them: costume designers, visual designers, social media managers, marketers and many, many musicians who alternate between albums and songs of the same artist, and whose work is contingent to the market trends. I'm no expert in the industry and I know, because this is no secret.
Watching this guy do this marvels at home feels really different. This has a soul. Some painter told me that art is necessarily an expression of the artist's mindset, and that's why, by definition, no artificial intelligence can make art, no matter how good-looking the images it generates are. Artificial intelligence could've made most of the songs on the top charts. The Kiffness' work, rather, is not only good. It's art.
