Jones, I'd like to thank you for showing me the truth, I use to nearly convert to Muslim, but your videos have helped me through Christianity. Thank you

Joel Kramer is a credible source. He is an archaeologist who is also a Christian. I trust his opinions.

That archeological dude said in his video that the city of Rameses was known by a different name. The Hebrews simply used that city name as that was the current name for it upon writing. It's similar to that of the New Amsterdam New York situation.

The one thing I remember hearing is that the name of the city in the story could have been the name at the time it was told, but not the name at the time it was built.

Except Amenhotep II's mummy literally has boil scars on his face and neck which you can view yourself and was also noted by archeologists as an "unknown" disease, indicating he had a massive breakout of boils which was one of the plagues YHWH cursed on Pharaohs house. He also died in his 40's from an "unknown cause."

I support the guy you are trying to disprove. I think him and his friends make a better case.

There's a study on the actual Exodus. The name Ramses was used because that was the known city when the book was written. There is historical evidence of the "Asianic" people in Egypt long before Ramses was built. The Egyptian history was erased because they didn't want to show they were defeated.

All points that you made in this video... Joel Kramer himself already gave refutations to in the video that you are responding to.... So why didn't you choose to challenge those refutations, but instead give the same answers to that of which he brought up in his video.

Amenhotep II is a much more likely candidate. The mention of Rameses City means that Exodus was written during the time when the place the Hebrew built was called currently by that name.

IP never touched on the 3rd century BC egyptian source (who Josephus quotes), that read the official Egyptian records, and named Ahmenotep (however you spell it) as the exodus Pharoah. You can discredit the egyptian historian, but Joel says that he is the reason we know the history of the different dynasties in the first place. Idk if thats true, but it would be very damaging to IPs case if so.

Pi-Rameses was build upon an older city that was inhabited by canaanites. They even found this phenomenal house and grave there, with 12 graves and one of them being a pyramid with a statue that looks a lot like Joseph with his coloured coat. That happened at the right time. And then, a little later than the possible exodus in 1450 or so, the canaanite Kings and rulers all send panic-messages to Pharao. They were attacked by the "Habiru" which sounds a lot like "Hebrews". The Habiru obviously conquered one city after the other. Sounds a lot like Josuas time to me. And the Pharao (I think it was Akhenaton at the time) did absolutely nothing to fight the Habiru. As if he was scared...

When your foundation like dates and numbers are "symbolical" your religion falls apart. Seriously everytime something doesn't agree with your views you always say "the numbers are symbolical"

I still think you should invite him on for a dialogue about these things. I wonder if he would be up to that?

It also depends IF we are right about the Egyptian timeliness themselves.

If you look up "Egyptian Chronology" there are several huge issues, (3rd intermediate period Chronology being one) and virtually all of modern Egyptology and Chronology is based off of the assumption that Champolion's initial dating, interpretation and findings 180 year ago were accurate. (There are serious scholars who have found issues with Champolion's interpretation, David Rohl being among them).

The real issue is his use of “Biblical date, ” implying that their date is the Biblical date and closed to interpretation.

Joel Kramer is a credible & highly accomplished and qualified archaeologist.

I juat took an egyptology class at my college. My professor was saying that it was likely during the reign of one of the ramses (i cant remember which one because there are several), and they think that because after his reign egyptian power collapsed.

Or the reference to the city of Rameses is an anachronism and referred to the Canaanite inhabitied city of Aravis that Rameses was built on top of two hundred years after the city was abandoned.
It's like saying the Dutch built New York, when they actually built "New Amsterdam", it was only called New York when the English took over and greatly expanded the port there.

Rabbis know so much more than pastors do. Rabbis also have one-thousand times more wisdom than pastors Amenhotep II has hardcore boil scarring on his skin. Ramses the Great has clean skin, no boil scarring.
