One thing i'd highly recommand packing for any king of trip but even more for a backpacking trip is a tote bag: super convient to take your stuff with you when you go showering and the floor is wet so you can hang everything. Also super convenient to carry anything when you need a little extra space (eg for food) and once folded it takes so little space. Also, a fan if you're travelling in older trains/buses without ac

Genius essential I always take now is a lightweight rechargeable UV 'steripen' to sterilise water. Also a handsize USB rechargeable fan, for comfort and to prevent the dreaded heat rash. Take utterly minimal clothing and hand wash yr sweaty clothes every day. Bring few metres of light cord and some lightweight stainless steel pegs with a tiny bottle of washing up liquid/bodywash that you can top up in accommodations.

There are inflatable neck pillows that pack smaller than the one you currently have.usually comes with a little pouch you can clip to your backpack

I have an empty zipper neck pillow that you can fill with clothes to save space. Got it from SHEIN for 4 euro, definitely recommend

I can highly recommend the Lily Cup Compact, it's a great menstrual cup - proper game changer as it folds down flat as goes into a tiny round travel case the size of a lip balm/mini vasaline tin. I've had mine for years & it's still going strong. It's so small to carry, that it just lives in my handbag all the time, just incase I'm ever surprised, lol.

This video was so helpful and realistic. I’d recommend a Trtl neck pillow. It just about lays flat and I Velcro it around my backpack’s top handle.

Hey Rachel, thanks for your video ! I'm preparing my backpacking trip for South East Asia and I was wondering what bug spray did you use ? Was it efficient for the mosquitos ? I've watched lots of videos stating a good quality mosquito spray is a must against dengue fever.
