I still have not discover all of my Tyros 5 so im not planned for buying the Genos
I think the Tyros 5 is still a great keyboard

Korg, Casio, Ketron, Roland arrangers all have an intelligent style-play fingering mode where you can play a single key and get a full major chord style backing or a key and its minor 3rd and get a full minor chord style backing etc.... (I do not mean the simple mechanical "single-fingered" mode).
None of the Tyros models have had this and now seems neither does Genos - I know - I hear you saying "well get your act together and learn the triads at ;-)
is a Genos show stopper for me (together with no instant control access (buttons) to toggle bass inversion and tempo lock) - not to mention the PRICE!!!!

WELL! $5500 and... One big difference is the Genos has NO hard drive or SSD drive to swap out, repair, replace or increase it GB [storage amounts]. SO is whatever Yamaha uses instead... is it [HD/SSD] technology device soldered to the motherboard? If the Internal Memory Fails...how do WE replace it and for what amount of $$$. We all know that IT technology does fail eventually. And Windows can be very frustrating on PCs whereas LINUX is mouch more dependable. What is the OS in the GENOS? HUH? HEY? Do I suggest a real issue here???

Tyros 5 ...while you play one midi file you can select next midi file to play next, how do you do this in Genos, I cannot find the way, ??

Genos seems realy good, but I just bought the tyros 5 - 76K 3 month ago - Still a lot to learn so I will wait :) - oh one more thing, I voted against Genos, because I don't like the way to tell "if you vote tyros you are a looser", even if it is funny. having a tyros needs a lot of knowledge, and between the 2, there is nothing new that is trenscendant and if you have a tyros5 Genos has nothing genius!

Ja touchscreen knoppen wat verplaatst en andere styles kun je in tyros 5 ook inladen
En dan die belachlijke peter baartmans die dat weer komt demonstreren en klaus wunderlich beetje zitten belachlijk maken !!!!

I got Genos, more powerfull than Tyros 5. Genos got old version keybord of Tyros 1 at 5.
