Recycle 120 billion bottles? Coke wants to do it

Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey unveils the company's plan to recycle the plastic equivalent of every bottle they put out into the world. He also responds to environmental critics who say the company still isn't doing enough.

i think we should bring back glass bottles and reward those who bring back the bottles (like LCBO). i think in asia they reward you for bringing plastic bottles on vending machines (i don’t know if that made sense)

They need to offer something back out of THEIR pocket. Let's see cocacola team up with walmart and kroger's alone in America... make a recycle coupon program. Like return 10 2-liter bottle and get a coupon for a free bottle out of cocacolas own profits. That is a win win, also bums would be able to collect litter and get free drinks, win win idea for everyone

They have give money back on each bottle returns like 10p a bottle. Use this as a tax break and really help not just talk about it. Put recycle bins out there. Pay for the street bins as well. I am sure they will woek it out. Buy a bottle get 50% off next bottle if old one is returned. That will work

James I love it when I hear this kind of talk, I will be doing my part, I drink 4 Liters of pop a day so a lot of plastic is going into my recycle bin. BUT if a watch reports of how much is recycled, it is 2% of plastic . I am 58 and started in the food industry a while back COKE used glass, Yes I cleaned up a few broken bottles but We received a skid of full and returned a skid of empty. Why not return to glass? or make aluminum 2 liters. I see you are making so many different sizes NOT GOOD. I buy Diet Coke 6 x 710 ml then take my 2 L Diet Canada Dry and refill the 710 bottle to travel in the city for a few weeks before recycling them. I remove labels flatten bottles keep till I have large amount before putting in bin.

Switch back too glass and have us send them in and re use them like the 1950’s, I never lived threw it but it seems like a nice way too do things and we get the return of a long lost way of recycling and re using are goods
