Why are computer errors called bugs?

The original computer bug was a moth. A real physical moth, that got stuck between the contacts of a relay in the Harvard Mark II computer. It was recorded by Grace Murray Hopper one of the most important people in the history of computing. She taped it to her log book with the explanation: "First actual case of bug being found.”
Ms. Hopper also invented the first high-level language and retired from the United States Navy as a Rear Admiral
