Cinnamon Ant

This month's Sunriver Anglers Fly Tying Corner features and Easy Cinnamon Ant pattern. This pattern does a very effective job imitating cinnamon colored ants and termites that are so prevalent in the forests around Central Oregon. I fish this pattern a lot on our local lakes and rivers during the heat of summer when these flying ants and termites hatch. Give it a try next time you're out on Hosmer, East Lake, or some of the high country hike-in lakes.
