Lunchtime Thoughts on Finding Good Restaurants

I’ve spent over 30 summers in Europe, lovingly updating my guidebooks. It’s kind of funny…I just can’t stop. It’s what I do, and I find it endlessly challenging and rewarding. This year, I’ve already spent 60 days researching.

Good tips, Rick. I'll get a feel of a place before I sit down to order a meal If the staff seems harried or nonenergetic, I'll go someplace else. Smaller seems better and local, in-season food is always good. Heading to Dilhorne-Staffordshire soon!

Great vid as always. When I travel lunch is typically my biggest meal of the day. I eat a light breakfast at the hotel or B&B and don't usually have a big meal in the evening. I save money this way.

They usually have a comfortable, honest and more relaxed attitude towards their customers.

Hey Rick, the Albanach in Edinburgh is a great place for Haggis, Neeps and Tatties..and Bobby's Bar has excellent fish n Chips..
