Study finds active monitoring as effective as invasive treatments for some prostate cancer patients

Researchers found those that opted for active surveillance had the same survival rates as those who underwent surgery or radiation after fifteen years. I have another kind of cancer and have been doing active monitoring for over three years. It's crazy to be diagnosed with cancer then be told they are just going to watch it. So far I haven't progressed and my specialists think there is a good chance I may never progress.
