2001-2018 I was a sound engineer and dj. Went by dj exez of staminasounds. 6 years ago I was at a low point in my life and I gave it all up, along with other things. Life is much better now, but feels incomplete. This song motivates me to uncover my equipment and power everything back on again. Still listening in 2021. I remember the day this album came out. I was on a flight from Seattle to San Francisco end of May 2015. I saw (from her phone) that the girl seating next to me was listening to Jamie’s album because of the colorful cover. I asked her if that was Jamie xx new album and she said “Yes, it just came out today” I quickly went to my Spotify and downloaded the album before take off. I listened to this track on repeat for the entire flight. Then I saw him live in 2015 at the Capitol Hill Block Party. I can’t wait for more music from him. ❤️
