You Choosing A Modded Nintendo 3DS Or PS Vita?

My modded New Nintendo 3DS is one of most favorite possessions in this entire world. I love that thing. I have a a gaming PC, Switch and PS5 and I still love and play my 3DS. I had an older model 3ds modded (still do but mostly use it for the carts I have) but was having a lot of issues with extended memory games play. Never had an issue with the “new” version. I really think I’m going to buy a modded PSP this year.

Both bring some amazing things, so in the end it's just a matter of deciding which game library you prefer.

With a New 3ds/2ds you can emulate ps1. Just started replaying FF7

With the amount of care and effort in the modding scene and how many generations of games you can emulate on both systems, I always want them charged up and ready to play.

Honestly it’s mostly just whether you prefer vita games vs 3DS games, because retro wise they both do the same things except the vita can’t to DS and the 3DS can’t do PSP.

I has modded psp, vita, n3dsxl, and miyoo+ all in my bag, fully loaded too! ☺️

Fun fact! You can also get emulator for things such as the gameboy advance or even the N64 on a vita!

Also able to hook up the Vita through USB to play it on PC as if it were a Switch, along with using a Dualshock 3/4. Plus through a Raspberry pi you can make yourself a literal Vita Dock. The 3DS has a similar option too but as far as I know just for WiFi.

I don’t really have anything against modding but man…seeing your home screen, it feels like I wasted a lot of money on games especially those I have yet to play more of.

I had both and I ended up finding myself gravitating towards the 3ds, for its game selection over the vita. Gave the vita to a friend molded, and I kept the 3ds and my old psp.

I have both I personally use my 3ds much more but I’ve put hundreds of hours on my vita

Its gotta be the 3DS for me, the quantity of quality Nintendo published games on there is insane. The Vita will always hold a special place in my heart though since that was where I first played P4G, GoW 1+2, MGS ... Actually I can't decide between the two.

3DS hands down. Most of my childhood was on that thing so I’m biased lol. The only psp game that I’m interested in is mega man powered up & maverick hunter X. Wish they got sequels :(

You can also use a bluetooth controller to control the 3ds (with a pc)
