Thank you. My crv did not start one morning. Checked on youtbe and your video showed up first. I ordered the part. $15 on amazon. Took a little over a half hour to fix it and now it starts. Thank you!

Watched your video after my CRV stopped dead one night. It would turn over strong, battery at 12.4 but not start. The solution of the Ignition coil was the exact fix needed, and for $20 in parts, my CRV started right up, and starts up instantly. THANKS FOR SHARING THE VIDEO AND KNOWLEDGE!

Don't forget the ICM which is smaller than the coil and lives right below it. Might as well replace both for around $80 total, use Delphi/Hitachi only. Distributor rebuild for $100 if you do cap and rotor too (YEC brand). I did mine as preventative maintenance because parts are so cheap and less than an hour labor. Add NGK copper plugs and NGK blue wires for a full ignition tune up for another $60. Money very well spent!!!

Mother-in-law's 99 crv cutout on her. She just got a new distributor 3 mos. ago. Replaced coil and it started up. Coil I took out showed rainbow arcing discoloring. The aftermarket parts for these older cars has some horrible q.a.

Excellent short video. My 2000 Honda CRV cranks with no start right now. I have compression, fuel, and spark, but did not verify the color of the spark. I believe it was yellow, not blue. Thanks.

01 CRV....stalled one day and wouldn't restart next day. Cranks but no start. Tried Starter Fluid. How do I know if the coil is bad if I have spark at all plugs and plugs, wires, distributor and rotor checkout good also? I ohm checked the coil posts and it was good also.

Crv decided to go today. I’m almost positive this is the issue. If not it’s a great place to start. Thanks so much bro

Car wouldn’t start. I changed battery, fuel filter, spark plugs fuel pump. Stumbled on this video did the ignition coil and that fixed it. Easy job it you have a decent tool kit

I think I have this problem. I just replaced the crank sensor because it didn't start and I got a code saying that the crank sensor was bad and it was a disconnect fault. I changed it and it started up fine. Two weeks later it won't start saying the same code. Few people told me it was the distributor but I don't want to go and buy a whole new distributor and that's not the problem I want to be sure so need a second opinion. Thanks I appreciate it.

Had an ICM go out on my civic once. Was a huge pain in my ass to track down the problem but eventually got it figured out. However, i think my coil is starting to go bad. Do you recall how to test them with a multi meter?

I replaced my distributor but still having issues.. my car randomly just didn't accelerate when I was on my way home from work.. I thought it was a fuel pump issue but it wasn't. Any suggestions?

I have a CRV 97 with the code P1362 - Camshaft Position Sensor A no signal or Top Dead Center Sensor no signal. I did a bunch of research and it was impossible to find the camshaft/TDC sensor locally. I was told by a mechanic that the distributor needed to be replace because those sensors are in there (?!?). The local price is $450 plus labour. I'm planning to go to the car junkyard and see if i can grab one and do the work myself. I am no handyman, but this video really made it so easy to do! Thanks for doing this video! In your experiences, this I doing the right thing by changing the distributor?

I have a 2000 Honda CRV, I already changed the starter motor and it doesn't start, it doesn't start, it doesn't even try to start at all, since it's a gearbox, it starts by pushing it, I would like an opinion, why is that?

Ok, so I changed the entire distributor, still no start (only crank). Any thoughts on how I can get it to start? Thanks 😊
