I’d rather buy a full set of cups that’s I’d use over and over than have to buy a pack of edible cups every 1-2 weeks for probably 15-20$

I know these are Environmental friendly products but how well do they exactly Perform in real life and the Quality of them. They make you think the area clean but really is it?

I feel like some of these companies missed the point of the assignment...because the basic job of a plate (particularly in the modern era) is to contain and keep the food you’re about eat, from touching unsanitary surfaces.
So if you just turn around and eat the plate that has been sitting on the unsanitary surface—why not just cut out the middleman and slap the food directly on the table? Go clambake style, sans tablecloth. *”Voilà! Presto-Eco!* 😆🤷‍♀️

Isn’t edible cups the opposite of sustainable since they’re one use instead of a glass cup which you can use for basically forever

I wonder how sustainable along the entire line of production these are. Specifically, I'm curious abou the bran plates: all the crop land needed, the fertilizer and pesticides, diesel for the tractor plowing/ combine harvesting/ truck transporting, then the actual making. So many "green" ideas fail because they actually cost us more.

Can't you just put coffee grounds in a compost heap? Seems like a waste to use all that energy to make them into cups.

When I was young we use to eat on those leaf plates during picnics or celebrations. Now its very difficult to find.

As someone with Celiac Disease, wheat bran plates terrify me. I can't use many paper food products, biodegradable utensils, eco friendly eatingware, compostable containers, or edible products.

I wish companies would only stick to allergy-friendly sources like rice, corn, and potato. The leaf plates look okay, but things made of wheat, barley, and rye are a no-go for people with Celiac Disease, Wheat Allergy, or Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity.

Honestly if I had edible plates and cups I would just eat them instead of put food on them then eat the food

Wonder what the plates taste like . They look like pressed dirt.

this is something much needed in my country as we love plastic so much that when our government banned plastic bags people protest on streets as they can't carry their own bags while going to shopping
