Glad to see The Crooked Way is being shown on Noir Alley. I recently bought that film on Blu Ray. Unfortunately, I had to pay more than I wanted to because it was out of print. I haven't watched it yet, but I'm glad for that since now I can watch it properly with the upcoming intro and outros by Eddie.

Ullmer was an incredible talent. I love all his movies. This and in particular The Man From Planet X.

Eddie I'm glad that I watched this for a number of reasons. I've enjoyed your book Dark City since 1999 or 2000. I gave a copy to a former professor and good friend who taught Film Noir prior to that at the University of Richmond. It's a fantastic book. I also bought Dark City Dames when it was released and also The Art of Noir when it came out. I hope you'll read this because the reissue I have of Dark City is vastly inferior to the original in its shall we say production values. Cheap paper may be the biggest problem. Washed out with low contrast, it looked like it was printed in someone's garage. I was terribly disappointed. I have read the original a number of times. It was brilliantly written! Don't let them do the same to Dark City Dames.
