Over sub floors can't you just use cheap flat paint to lay over wood like sub floors to get tiles to stick

can you primer over top of the remaining adhesive left on the sub floor? or does the adhesive need to be removed beforehand?

The adhesive needs removed with a razor and tsp then prime:)

No Ali’s SelfSelections does not adhere well. I have primed the concrete twice, let it thoroughly dry, and used a rolling pin a Lot.
And even a dead fall rubber mallet. The adhesion is spotty at best. I stopped after about a dozen planks and am returning the full boxes remaining to Lowe’s right now. Not a good product! I am very disappointed. Don’t waste your time and hard earned money.

Terrible product. Does not stick. No matter what you try, the tiles only stick here and there. Not worth the trouble.
