TODAY'S TOPIC: THE FASTEST WAY TO SUCCESSFULLY CHANGE CAREERS
--------------------

Speed. Why are we in such a hurry? Rush, rush, rush.

Great accomplishments take time.

But, wanting to take our career in a new direction and getting on with what we think we’ll enjoy more sorta has a way of making us want to scoot along. I get it.

If you’re considering a career change (or even a job change for that matter), I have a not-so-little something for you.

As someone who’s changed careers twice, I know what it takes and cannot wait to share it with you.

In this video, The Fastest Ways to Successfully Change Careers, I’m covering some of the most important factors to assess upfront to make sure you’re on the right path. And, I serve up THE FIRST three tactics I’d use to make that change quickly!

I just wanted to say a special thank you for your channel. It's been useful content for me. I just completely re did my Resume using your guide. It really gave me some direction and kept me focused. I've been in HR for 14 years and want to change but have no idea what I want to do. I'm trying to figure what career I could transition into with all the skills I've gained.

Hi Andy, Im changing careers and you just spoke about reaching out to former co-workers. They are all scattered around the country, but they are all still in the industry Im trying to leave. How to leverage the connection to help get into the new career? Thanks!

Hi Andrew. You are simply the best. I have one question. I'd be grateful if you could answer that. I am trying to make a career change now. I have been working two jobs for over 10 months now: as a freelance editor and as a guest faculty at an institution. Technically, I have been editing for around three years as my advanced degree courses included writing a thesis, term papers, and the like. I am looking to apply to full-time editorial positions right now. Should I include in the career highlight section of my resume that I am looking to change careers and have been freelancing because of my academic pursuits. How do I project myself as a great candidate with diverse experience in editing content? I follow your resume template, so I will be able to incorporate any suggestions you throw at me. Thank you for everything you do:)

Hi, Andy...I want to ask you one thing. How do you leave your job gracefully and don't get considered of being a job hopper? Is there any such thing? Thank you.
