Park Wilanow landscape concept

Показать описание
Landscape competition proposal for the Park in Willow, Poland (2021).
Area: 20 780 m²
Project team:
- SKALA ARCHITECTS (PL Romea Muryn, Jakub I. Gołębiewski)
- SPACE ODYSSEY ARCHITECTS (UA Ievgen Chernat, Hanna Chernat)
- ZOEN ARCHITEKTURA KRAJOBRAZU (PL Paulina Cieślik)
The inspiration for the main concept of the park was the natural landscape of the Masovian lowlands, filled with a unique wealth of flowers and vegetation.
"Green Island" is a spatial leitmotif of the park planning structure. In the area of irregular shape we create a contrasting geometric shape of the circle, filled with lush and tall vegetation. In a broader context, the island becomes a kind of "object" that unites the surrounding buildings.
The round shape of the island is emphasized by the observation promenade "Eco-trail", which gathers all the spaces and landscapes around it.
Water features are an important part of the park concept. Within the central island, reservoirs for rainwater retention are planned, as well as raingardens among densely planted trees.
