Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, stated that the government has made substantial preparations to deal with a probable third wave of COVID-19, based on lessons learned during the first and second waves of the pandemic. On Tuesday, Karnataka recorded 2,479 new COVID-19 infections and four deaths, with 2,054 cases and three deaths occurring in Bangaluru alone. The state's positivity rating has risen to 2.59 percent. Karnataka has already imposed a night curfew and encouraged locals to adhere to COVID guidelines like wearing masks and washing or sanitising hands at regular intervals.
