You're doing really great with writing/organizing the video material, trying to pace your narration, & projecting more of your natural personality + warmth thru the camera. This is all stuff people who don't do performative filmed work take for granted that's actually really hard. Your material's fascinating; the topic's a rich vein for newbies + veteran gear-heads alike. As your channel evolves, I'd love to see you add clips of you or your Dad demonstrating each of the steps edited in between the narrated sections, just a few seconds even of showing the techniques & correct type of equipment would be great. There's a generation of latchkey kids that had to learn a lot of basic household management + care techniques from print, tv, + videos, so even if you think everyone knows something simple, like what cloth to use for a brass pendulum cleaning, I guarantee a lot of us don't & would appreciate seeing demos. Thanks!

Got our first 7' tall grandfather clock. It's pretty old I've searched high and low to find out who the horologist was or where it came from but no label or insignia that I can find so it kind of adds to the awesome value bought it at an estate sale for $200 and I got it home about 20 minutes ago and carefully put the weights and pendulum in wound it up and what do you know it runs like a clock chimes everything works. But occurred to me I don't know the first thing about how to maintain it, thank you for the informational video now to find out where I can get clock oil 😂

Hi Seth, could you tell me if it's ok to have your clock on a outside wall of your house...like a piano, I guess? Love the video.
