Speaking of Howard the...Mouse, Gerber also did a graphic novel called Stewart the Rat, published by Eclipse. With art by Gene Colan and Tom Palmer, it was very much like Howard the Duck in story and style.

Oddly, because the film HTD came out, I read Howard's comics.
I quickly preferred the character in the comics to the movie version!

The video fails to mention this but the only reason why Gerber could even challenge Marvel at all was because they had no specific and clearly defined Work For Hire policy at the time like DC Comics had!
