"Hey, we recently found what could be the coldest star in the known universe. What do you want to designate it as?"

"I have a pretty good idea."

6:31 2022K is the boiling point of lead, not the melting point of lead, which is 600K

Wait i didn't see Arizona temperatures mentioned in the video, so I guess it's above the Planck temperature.

It just sounds about right.

Pretty insane that we achieved those temps with science in a laboratory.

How hot can it get?

JG: *yes.*

It’s interesting that the range of temperatures amongst the stars in the universe is 30 degrees Celsius to trillions of degrees.

What I heard at the end
The hottest temperature theoretically possible is where lights wave lengths is one plank length, it can get hotter but physics basically shits it self at that point.

When I saw "Scale of temperature: How hot it can get" my brain intermediately threw me the idea: "The highest temperate must have to be the friction caused by particles moving at speeds close to the speed of light in distances close to the plank length" (crude guess and probably it didn't had any sense, BUT I must say that I was very proud of that ignorant guess)... After this video I'm just happy that I still remember my name and where do I live. was not prepared for such amount of information.

Lead melts at 600k but BOILS at 2022k
Carbon doesn’t melt but Sublimates at 3915k

Absolute Zero: All matter has no energy
Absolute Hot: Matter itself turns into energy.

Happy to see that I'm not the only one to make the mistake of saying "Degrees Kelvin"
