most of you don't get the meaning of this song. it's so much deeper than most people think. this song is about living in poverty, and not having much in life at all. not being to travel to exotic places because they weren't able to. about not being able to buy clothes that much and shoes once a year. it actually makes me tear up because someone with such a backstory has come so far with his music. his music has a meaning, something most artists can't withhold nowadays. this song is actually so inspiring, the message saying he didn't grow up with many things, but he pursued his dream, although many seemed to tease and make fun of him. this is both truly sad and amazing.

i grew up poor and got bullied a lot because being poor as well as having a reading disabilities and developmental delays. this song is awesome that i can show in my class. we just learned about empathy in october and in november we are talking about thankfulness. it will both tie together in this video. you should not bully and be thankful to have clothes etc. great song for adults and elementary students
