Service tech wanted to charge me an absurd amount of money to do this. After finding this video I realized I could do it myself and saved a ton. Thank you!

Great video, didn't realize there was a gasket for the back side! Thanks for the heads up.

I’m assuming my bearings are going bad. Louder than usual. Like higher pitch winding noise? Think I’ll try replacing this. Don’t want it to seize up during a cold snap this winter. I also had the drain freeze up last year and it got water in it causing a gargling sound.

hey cool vid. I have the same issue with an XL90 super efficiency. The inducer motor sounds fine but the fan inside the housing is making the noise. The design is different for sure. It's a Trane BLU040K930B4 Furnace..

You're the closest repair vid i have seen. I'll keep lookin around for assistance. Nice work.

I have an XE90 that’s leaking water onto the sheet metal right below the inducer, but it’s not coming from the inducer as all drain lines are clean. I’m assuming there must be a tray or something on the burner side that’s leaking as there’s a hose opposite the inducer that’s clean, but no water draining through it. Looks like there’s a removable panel behind the inducer, so I plan to pull the inducer and that panel to get access.

Thanks for suggesting the Permatex Red RTV silicone high temp gasket maker! The gasket for the my new motor is backordered until the end of January and this saved me a ton of time and money! Would you recommend taking out the motor and putting in the gasket once it comes back in stock or is it fine to leave the motor in with the silicone? Thanks!

Aside from the electricity, do you turn gas off as well?

Thanks for the helpful video. My motor was screaming like a banshee! Well it got louder this week, so I looked the part up myself and located it online. After watching this it took me about 15 min to replace. Most of that time was fussing with the weird little plastic clamps they used on the drip line. Not easy to remove like the old metal ones. You drink domestic or import beer?

The hole that you show at 2:53, basically where the exhaust comes out through the inducer fan. Is it normal to have wetness in there or is that a bad sign?

If you haven't done so already, you should get that dark spot on your left hand checked out - looks a lot like possible melanoma...
