The Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) on Wednesday organized actual combat joint exercises and training around the Taiwan Island.

If the US and their proxies support Taiwan because it is a "democracy, " what was their excuse for supporting it for forty years of being a brutial martial law "White Terror" dictatorship under Chiang kai-shek and his son, who fought as a Nazi SS officer in Europe? Chiang was kidnapped by his own officers and removed as president of China for failing to fight the Japanese, sending three top generals and almost 800k troops to fight the Red Army instead. He was an Imperial Japanese puppet, a Nazi collaberator and a traitor to the Chinese nation.
The US planned to assassinate him, but were afraid his troops would defect to the Red Army. The US wanted neither a quick Chinese victory or defeat of the Japanese Army in China. Either one would have freed up millions of Japanese soldiers to be spread out over the Pacific island chains and made US invasion of those islands far more costly and less likely to succeed.
If at the end of the US Civil War, the State of Virginia had been surrounded by troops and ships from the European powers that protected Lee's army and the Confederate States of America still occupied it and declared themselves a seperate country, it would be no different than what Taiwan seperatists are doing.
The U.N. offered Taiwan a seperate seat when they switched recognition to the PRC  but Taiwan refused it. Chiang made it perfectly clear in his "The sky is not big enough for two suns" speech that Taiwan is a part of China, so the so called government of Taiwan was expelled from the international community.
History and rightousness stands on the side of the PRC.
