Jay Z tried to do this to Rihanna but the difference is Rihanna was not here to play. Jay z signed Rihanna and just didn’t help her with anything they solely focused on Amarie, Beyoncé and other artists. Rihanna payed for her own albums and mvs from her own pocket. Once they saw that Rihanna was doing 100x better than anyone signed to roc nation that’s when jay z finally decided to help her a little and umbrella came out. But even then Rihanna was a target cause now she’s doing better than his wife and the wife didn’t like that so they purposely blocked her from radios and charts and despite all the sabotage she still came on top, she overcame everything they threw at her and finally she released her last album ANTI with her own record label then went on the hiatus that she’s still in.
