I would like to thank you for your videos. I have now converted my 15hp to 20hp and done all service tasks guided by your videos (never before have I done anything myself to my outboard) . Have a nice upcoming summer!

Thanks for all your intuitive videos on the 9.9 Suzuki.
You did a great job on all of them.
Your very motivated.
Looks a little violent and overpowered with the 20 conversion. Almost Scary Fast.
Another reason to have the 9, 9 with conversion is for lakes that only let us run 10 hp max.

Got to test the 20hp upgrade on my zk430 14' kaboat. I was averaging 26 mph with a top speed of 28 mph with me and my 6 year old son inside. I was using the 11 pitch solas alum prop. It is rock solid stable in this boat, which is a bit wider than the standard kaboat but also has the inflatable v-keel. Was able to even go WOT over some chop. I am very happy with the setup

That's awesome. Great idea for lakes that have a 10hp limit.

Aweee man, I'm so bummed you lost your finder. I've never seen someone so calm after loosing something like that, you are a chill guy.

I've got a 15 hp Suzuki I'm considering upping to 20 after I saw another video about how simple it was but no one has mentioned the valve clearance. Adjusting the valve clearance is not a simple procedure and I have to wonder if the clearance is the same when you change the capacity of the motor. Seems like the water pump could be an issue as well. How is the motor doing after two years?

Thanks again, I got my new Suzuki 9.9 out yesterday for the first time, on my heavy 14' jon boat. I need the extra horsepower as it barely gets on plane at 13 mph with just me aboard and the standard 9" pitch propeller. I wasn't even in the ideal rpm range at WOT. So I ordered the parts! It was also good to see your video and hear that your motor has the same whine that mine does. I was thinking something was wrong and even checked the lower unit just to make sure it had fluid in it.

Thanks for showing your results from the prop changes. I'm getting about 24 mph with my 20 hp Tohatsu on my 12' Mars with 2 people and about 27 mph riding solo. I'm running the stock prop, not sure what pitch it is.

It's really cool how you upgraded your 9.9 to a 20. I was curious about how to do it. Can't believe it's so simple. I think the 20 hp cost about $1000 more than the 9.9, which is crazy considering they're basically the same engine with a different tune.

I have a 200 Honda on our tritoon which is the same engine as the 225 and 250. I wonder how much it would cost to upgrade it to a 250? I'll have to look into that.

Great videos. Without them I wouldn't have bought the Suzuki. I had to see someone solo put together the boat from the back of a truck to commit to it.

I got my Zk430 in the water today with the stock 9.9 and it worked great.

I am a strong guy, 6'4" 220, and it was still difficult to handle the motor out the back of my Yukon. It's awkward going sideways to vertical I almost dropped it lol.
