It uses Fire harmoniously with other Bending elements. You take tea-leaves that grow on earth, use Firebending to boil some Water, put in the tea-leaves, and use Air to enjoy the scent before consumption.

I'd like to imagine tea actually being established as an important new part of Fire Nation culture after the war, as it shows fire being used in a peaceful and productive manner, to benefit anyone regardless of bending creed or lack thereof, and in co-operation with the other elements.

Why, tea could even become known as the representation of fire's original purpose. Creation, warmth, life. This elevation of tea is a sign that Fire Nation tyranny has decisively ended.
