Ah the switchermaroo season opener. Getting to see the 1999 home project was awesome. Wished the series was more like that back then.

This was my favorite episode. It was really an interesting twist.

This was a good flip of characters. Sad in a way because Sam was finally home but couldn't stay home due to al being stuck in the past. But this one, the boogyman, the trilogy episodes, the evil leaper episodes, and Lee Harvey Oswald are most memorable episodes

This is one of the episodes that proves it was Sam’s body leaping, he was still wearing clothes from the last leap and most importantly, Al still has the hand link.

honestly, I prefer these special effects for the holograms to the new ones

They made a big mistake in this episode, when Sam leaps into Al at the end to save him he does and eventually leaps out. But the hand link that Al leaped in with at the beginning of the episode was left behind in the past. It was never explained what happened to it or if someone found it. What they should have done was included the hand link in a package along with the letter Al wrote to mail into the future which got them to open the imagining chamber door for Sam.

This way the hand link would have made it back to the project but once it got there it would have been decades old. I think that was a big gaffe by the writers to just ignore the hand link and presumably it was left on the ground someplace. It didn't work because it wasn't connected to Ziggy in the past but the technology inside was still from the future and could change history if the wrong person found it.

Home a simple 4 letter word, never have i ever since Sam and Al spoke it, have I heard a character give so much emotion to that word, god just hearing it again makes me teary eyed.
Also Rip Dean Stockwell, I've this series on DVD, rewatching it again will be something now i know...

I didn't see this episode but i did see the one when Sam looked as though he had multiple personalities.

I do like the new Quantum Leap show, but I prefer the sound and effect of old leap. When they leap in the new show, the sound and effects don't hit right. Still like the new version of the show though with Ben.
