The Bluetooth switch is interesting. It will certainly simplify wiring, but it also complicates troubleshooting and adds another failure point.

I think the only way it would make it worth it to me is if it could interface directly with a bt enabled amp for playing with no dongles or wires. But I think that's a little outside the imagined use case.

Have you seen Jim Lill’s latest video where he discusses the difference between the tone and the room and the tone you here in recordings. Very interesting concept that chasing the tone in the room might be a waste of time when a lot of those tones were captured by a mic and processed by a preamp.

I got the MX5 last year and since then I sold all my pedals and amp. That Headrush does everything. You just need to take the time to dial it all in.

I was looking at a ten way switch which is basically a 5 way with two “planes” in that it’s effectively two switches.

I just purchased a used fender mustang one practice amp for about $106 literally this morning. Looks like the niece/nephew may be getting a guitar amplifier for Christmas. Because I think I need that positive grid, spark, go.

I'm really interested in the Hyperswitch. I have the Freeway 5-Way/10 Position Switch in my Nashville Tele and a Strat and I truly love them. The soldering is a little challenging but the Seymour Duncan's quick connect looks like something everyone could do. Always hated on modern wiring with quick connects and PCBs until I used the Freeway and an Obsidian Wire kit across a couple builds and realized how easy/useful they could be.

One thing my Headrush MX5 does my stereo amp setup never did was pan from a clean blackface w air delay and particle reverb to a dimed ts boosted 6505 w the wah/vol pedal. So when i goto looper mode i dont have to prearrange patches i want to use next to each other to be able to tap 2 switches at once to move patch up or patch down, i just use the treadle pedal to switch amps/tones.

I opened up my Blackstar HT5 and didn't like what I saw. Sold that and an HT1 stack and bought a used AC15.

The HyperSwitch really has me curious. Why isn't it on the Duncan website? Can it wire two separate pickups in series? If the battery dies is the switch toast?

#question: if making a nut for a 3x3 or hockey stick headstock, should you angle the slots to point to the pegs, or make them parallel to the neck?
