Love the cover of North Woods which is so different from the US and UK covers I've seen. Completely agree about how good it is, it's become a favourite.

I love Claire’s “Foster”, & enjoyed “Small Things” so I’m on the hunt for “So Late”!
One book I read that has a similar feel to Claire’s work is This is Happiness by Niall Williams. It’s a novel vs novella, so he takes longer to convey his story.

I love Anne of Green Gables…and anything Greek mythology. The bird book is fabulous! And I have a couple more titles now to add to my list. Thank you!

I love the variety of books that you read. North Woods sounds very good. I have a very old home and it is interesting to imagine how people lived in my home 120 years ago. Also love Anne :)

I love memoirs anytime but I get what you’re saying. Summer is a bit more carefree, it’s nice to keep the reading that way, too. Great reviews!

I also love Claire Keegan . I agree with your reviews of A Month in the Country and North Woods as well. I can't wait to reread North Woods even though I just read it in December. LOL, I also used to read books up in a tree as a kid. You've made me want to reread Anne of Green Gables. Great video!

Such a lovely video! I also love Claire Keegan, and after I read Foster, I went back and read everything that she’s published. My book group just discussed North Woods last week. We universally adored it! I’ve watched a series of interviews with Daniel Mason. He’s a really fascinating person. Thank you for such a thoughtful video! 😊

I can't wait to read North Woods ! But I'm waiting until it comes out in paperback in the UK later this year. My favourite read of January was A Spool of Blue Thread by Anne Tyler. A family saga, which is always a favourite topic for me. Happy February reading 📚

Mythos is on my TBR this year. Also, you might enjoy Marilla of Green Gables, by Sarah McCoy, which is the story of Marilla and Matthew’s youth. I enjoyed it very much.

The book with bird drawings was beautiful, even though I'm not a huge bird fan. The backstory was so interesting, if I lived in Aus. I would scoop it up.

I am currently rereading the Anne of Green Gables series. I love Anne! Next one for me is Anne of Windy Poplars.

A great selection! The bird book is gorgeous. North Woods sounds so intriguing every time I hear it reviewed. I enjoy beautiful nature writing so think I'll have to give it a try. If you like nature writing, I'm currently reading an anthology called North Country Edited by Karen Lloyd and it has a great variety (the cover is lovely too!).

I missed out on all the lovely classic children's books so I too have Anne of Green Gables to read this year. Thank you Angela📗🌻

January: I loved 10 Minutes 38 Seconds in This Strange World (Elif Shafak) although I can see why it's so polarizing. North Woods: that cover through me off at first. ("Wait isn't
I do have it on hold at the library.

Love the channel.

Have you ever read " Marilla"? Forget the author, but it isn't that old. Was great! Sarah McCoy maybe??? Thanks.

That was lovely. I’m an Ann with an E fan but agree, as an adult the story isn’t the same perhaps. Love the Sullivan film of it.
I read Antarctica and Foster by Keegan in January and really love her writing style. I have Walk the Blue fields of hers to read sometime soon.
