Finding Frankie - Official Game Trailer

Finding Frankie is a single-player horror game that puts you in the shoes of one of four lucky contestants. This horror game tests not just your bravery, quick thinking, and jumpscare tolerance, but also your movement skills, as Finding Frankie has you wall-jumping, rail grinding, and vaulting away from enemies instead of just running. You can run, wall jump, vault, and rail grind, but you can’t hide!

Finding Frankie aims to turn the horror genre on its head with new and thrilling parkour mechanics. We aim to eliminate boring walking in horror games with fast-paced movement to keep the game entertaining and fast-paced at all times. While the game has moments to catch your breath, there aren’t many times where you won’t be wall-jumping or being chased by horrifying monsters. We are aware of the similarities with this game and titles like Five Nights at Freddy’s/FNaF, Poppy Playtime and we totally get where this is coming from! We are inspired heavily by these horror/scary titles, but we hope to add a little more uniqueness into the mascot horror genre with the first real movement based entry.

Thing is: He's wearing a mask, uniform and a voice modulator so parents won't know it's their kid until they escape

I'm liking the "murderous gameshow" tone that this game is going for.

While I have been feeling burnt out by chase sequences in recent horror games, the fast pace and obstacle course nature shown here does seem compelling. You have a 'finish line' you're running towards, not just running aimlessly in a vent.

the violence is explicit, the design is promising, this game just shows me how it is possible to make a scary and different horror mascot.

See, THIS is how a good chase is born.
I don't wanna be running down a straight corridor, trying to escape an eldritch abomination with nothing but a sprint button.
I wanna be running, jumping AND dodging said eldritch abomination, knowing that any fuck up on my part will get me killed.
THAT'S how you add tension to a chase. The fear of screwing up smashed against the fear of the thing chasing you at high speed.
Can't freaking wait for this game.
