The biggest bike races are team activities. The team comes first, not individuals. The strategy necessary that allows the team to win a race is all that matters. The individual winner does receive the accolades, but that rider always gives kudos to the team support received during the race.

Hear me out. There is something magical about this all. A GT rider really loving to race the cobbles. The magical thing is, he is doing this on Colnago. Which dominated the cobbles and classics in general. There is something special here.

Nobody can fly on the cobles like MVDP does, last year he was the only rider that did ride to the top of the Koppenberg. All other riders did have to set foot on the ground on the wet cobles :)
