I don't care what anyone says, loving the cool down here in Vegas! The clouds and rain can stay, we need Lake Mead to fill up! 🙏

Weirdly Las Vegas has just about the best water management of any city in the world. Its amazing at capturing and utilising the rain it does get. It has the lowest per person water usage in the USA I believe.
It is the global go-to example of water management.

There are human beings who have made homes in those sewer systems, hopefully they all have gotten out before this deluge.

Unfortunately a lot of homeless that live under Las Vegas are going to get seriously washed out

Staying at home for thousands of people in Vegas would be a death sentence because they live in the under ground storm tunnels

I lived in Vegas from 2001-2016, and the Flooding I've witnessed through the years were crazy. Vegas did a lot to create Flood Channels to keep most streets from flooding. But this Hurricane will be insane, and as he said Unprecedented. I'm wishing for everyone, especially my family and friends stay safe. Stay home and don't drive through flooded streets.

If anything it has been nice staying home chilling instead of running around on Sunday like I usually do. Apparently weather warnings gets 💩 done.

August has one of the highest percipitation month for Las Vegas. It is NOT unusual to get heavy rain in August. This jouralist is a blatant liar.

Two decades in Nevada no big history of flooding. North LV has accumulation of water as it’s lower in altitude but towards Henderson (Seven Hills) & Green Valley higher in altitude, not so much.

As for Hiliary, pretty wet and quite in Southwest Nevada as of now. Just casual rain lasting longer in spurts since Friday.

A year of rain as forecasted still has not happened. Yes, temperature is lot cooler from triple digits 104-105 to 75 degrees. A welcome drop from the boiling heat.

Overall Nevada being a desert is blessed when it comes to catastrophic weather in US. The desert has experienced Earthquakes but not so much hurricanes. Prolly the effects are greater by the coast.

Scary. My brother’s home is in the high desert with a deep raven on each side that will be carrying all the water off of the mountain. They have lived there for half a century and never faced anything like this before.
