That portal mod at the end might be the most insane minecraft mod I've ever seen.

6:26 it absolutely astounds me how shaders can make minecraft feel like a COMPLETELY different game

Immersive portals blew my fucking mind.

Stay True is exactly what I've always wanted from a resource pack: something new that doesn't make it look like it's a new game. Just a fresh coat of paint.

You can give this dude your wishes for a specific modpack and he'd make it the best Minecraft Experience you've ever had

I would just love to build a house in a well shaded forrest with birds chirping. Holy shit

Immersive portals is definitely something I'd consider using. We all know how nether portals work but the mod makes it look trippy af.

I expected Immersive Portals to just be a new look for the portal, but god it looks good!

Watching these videos before without a pc was good but now that I can actually use them makes me so hype

That snow reminds me of my first time playing through the first chapter in RDR2, and seeing how the snow reacted to anything being dragged through it.

You briefly mentioned that OptiFine contains more features than the sodium-iris combo. There is a mod pack called Fabulously Optimized which is just a collection of mods (including sodium and iris) selected to replicate OptiFine but for Fabric. So among other things you get the zoom, the dynamic lighting, the option for shaders, and a lot of quality of life things, eg. The game stays open when you alt-tab, better settings, etc. And all the things can be configured so you have way more control than in Optifine. You can change the way the zoom works, you can have torches not give of light underwater, etc.
Overall a super nice all in one pack for people who likes OptiFine but wants to use Fabric.

8:00 Immersive Portals is incompatible with Distant Horizons, so if you still had that installed that'd be where some of the issues stem from. It's actually incompatible with a surprising number of mods.

0:26 Are we just going to ignore the pigs falling from the sky ? 😶

One of the best things about this guys video is he splits it into sections, it’s helped me way more than you would think.
