Kendrick Concert explained to Canadians

This week I’m sharing my thoughts on Kendrick’s Pop Out Juneteenth concert. It was one of the most west coast events I’ve ever seen with artists like DJ Hed and Mustard, Ty Dolla Sign, Dom Kennedy, Steve Lacy, Tyler, the Creator, Roddy Ricch, YG, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, and Dr. Dre all performing. You also had superstars in attendance like SZA The Weeknd and Lebron James.

It was a special moment and what felt like a day of unity with known Crips and Bloods dancing and having a good time together.

It was one of the most memorable, fun, and well curated events that Amazon has put on and had fans losing it over surprise guests as well as singing certain songs like Euphoria, DNA, money trees, and Earfquke word for word.

I learned about Nipsey here more than I expected. I see why people loved him so much. He was a truly good person like Dolly Parton. We need more celebrities who do like they do and give back to the place they came from.

I know preachers who can't get the reaction I felt from that line. I'm in a position in life where I "got out" but left some people behind, and that line hit hard.
If you are trying to get out, please don't leave others behind.
