Rapids Water Park - 'Black Thunder' ProSlide TORNADO Onride POV

The Black Thunder water slide at Rapids Water Park in Riviera Beach (FL), United States. Black Thunder is an impressive ProSlide TORNADO 45 - a giant funnel ride that you embark in a 4-person cloverleaf raft. The slide is completely dark and even the funnel, where you are pitched from left to right, is not illuminated. After the tornado element, you are smashed through a tight serpent curve with two sharp turns - almost falling off the tube if you don't hold tight. One of the coolest Tornado rides out there!

Rapids Water Park belongs to the largest water parks in Florida and is outfitted with plenty of water rides.

Black Thunder ist nichts Geringeres als ein ProSlide TORNADO 45 - eine gigantische und eindrucksvolle Reifenrutsche für bis zu vier Personen, die mit einem riesigen, schräg liegenden Trichter versehen ist. The outside of the funnel looks like the colors of the former Brainwash ride at the now defunct Wet N Wild Orlando.

Man I miss that waterpark. Wished they could to an upgrade to this ride as a tribute to the former attraction.

In its first year of operation, the funnel did not even have the small skylights! Apparently some guy fell off, and to make sure it would not happen again, tiny skylights had to be installed inside the ride's funnel. of course, you still cannot see anything in there...

I went here for my friends birthday, and listen this shit is scary. Since it was just the two of us in one of the floats (and we both weigh about 70 pounds ) we almost went flying off the ride. Also it doesn't have light it's completely black, which makes it even worse. So imagine being in a room that is pitch black, spinning around and the go down a steep drop. Terrifying experience, but it was fun.
