It's daunting how many seemingly intelligent and streetwise people continue to class those in danger, and involved, as THE WEST - when The West consists of so many more countries, including most in South America!.

That was a really interesting insight. Sometimes I wish this, for my taste too neoliberal narrative would not neglect the way some societies in Europe share more social and cultural preferences and things they take for granted, due to their historic evolution, with the UK than the Americans do. To name some examples the Dutch sense of trade and fairness and negotiation is more similar to us than the USA. The French respect for workers rights and socialism as a necessary part of democracy is more similar to us than the US. The Scandinavians' interest in the environment and green energy is similar to our scientists and everyday people's interest, you can include Germany and others in that context. The psychological tips on finding common ground were good advice for anyone. As the failed "dance" or chess game with our fellow European Russians has shown, listening, keeping up relationships and trying to understand the background of positions you don't agree with and maintaining hard power and having an offer so people are interested in talking to you at all were true points.
Africa wanting us as green deal partners because we make them less financially dependent than the Chinese was another interesting point you could debate isn't good enough if you say you have more values than earning money...
Anyway very interesting and thought provoking. Thank you

She is the best version of a female Boris Johnson in speech and mannerisms. Does she want to be Prime Minister of the UK? "Even with the Russians..."
