Future BMW iDrive 10 - DEMO

The Neue Klasse family of BMW cars will introduce a new iDrive infotainment system. There is no official name, but we believe it will be called either BMW iDrive 10 or iDrive X. To learn more about the BMW iDrive 10 and about he BMW Panoramic Vision Display, we talked to Stephan Durach, VP Connected company development at BMW Group.

In this video, we will give you a quick demo of both the new iDrive and also of the innovative Panoramic Vision Display.

At one point of the video I feel the glare of the screen is too much and I couldn't see propoerly. I hope they test it in different lighting and weather conditions thoroughly.

Best version was Idrive 7. All after is unstructured millenialstyle.

Thanks for the preview. Quick quesition. I have the i4 M50, love the car. I leased it for 3 years, given the rapid technological changes that will occur in that timeframe. Given your access to the UI (ueser interface) team, a killer feature they need to incorporate is Dog Mode. I won't waste space describing it but Tesla has it and Rivian has introduced their version too. For people who have dogs it is a must have feature and potential a dealer breaker in choosing BMW EV's going forward. Please update us pet lovers on BMW's plans for dog mode in existing and future EV's, thanks!

It needs a "Clouk" mode. It opaques the windows, shuts off AI and location services. Everything shuts off leaving you alone with DEE

I just got my car with the latest IDrive 9 (just released in November 2023) and is buggy as hell. Everything loads very slow, and switching between TEL, NAV, Climate takes a while. changing the fan speed require to switch your focus from driving, it is really dangerous.

Seems a bit janky, either its poorly optimized or in need of much faster hardware. Honestly feels like one monitor is doing too much already, requesting for a 2nd 🙄
