Meet the new #CityAirbus! With years of dedicated research and innovation under its belt, including two eVTOL demonstrators, Airbus has announced plans for a new CityAirbus. This fully electric vehicle is equipped with fixed wings, a V-shaped tail, and eight electrically powered propellers as part of its uniquely designed distributed propulsion system. It is designed to carry up to four passengers in zero-emissions flight for multiple applications.

This is one of those things where I would normally say "lol cgi vaporware I'll believe it when I see it". But in this case, it's not some quirky startup, it's freaking Airbus, one of the global Big Two of aviation, and the manufacturer of the biggest commercial airliner in the world, among other things. I'd guess this VTOL plane is something that will actually happen.

Beautiful design, but it won't compete with traditional Helicopter. Masterful steered you away from the traditional market. Imagine you have to land on traditional heli pads they won't make new ones just for you.

Obviously the original design was a failure. Now they are chasing Joby with a new multi-engine airplane which will be welcome at municipal airports. People won't allow this thing anywhere near a city with people and buildings. Kudos!

Well, that was possibly the least informative, least real video on aviation electrification produced for the past five years. Amazing how little information was conveyed with maximum computer graphics, stirring music and panning past a rendering of a plane that may or may not exist except on screen.
