Not necessarily. After JFK’s assassination, LBJ was sworn in on an aircraft while in flight, thus there is an additional landing of Air Force 1 that didn’t involve a takeoff. So I guess it equals out again?

A buddy of mine was Airborne in the Army. We were taking off in a C-130 plane heading into Iraq. He looked at me and said…

“This is the 15th time I’ve been in a C-130, and will be the first time I’ve landed in one” 😂.

The statement that any airplane that’s carrying the President of the United States is called Air Force One is false! Any Air Force aircraft that carries the President is called Air Force One! Any Navy aircraft is called Navy One! any Marine aircraft is Marine One! Any Army aircraft is called Army One & any civilian aircraft is called Civilian One! The 747 that everyone associates as Air Force One is owned & operated by the Air Force the helicopter that takes off & lands at the White House is owned and operated by the Marine Corps that’s why it’s referred to as “Marine One” when Air Force One that was carrying President Nixon took off it was Air Force One but during the flight to California once President Ford was sworn in the call sign of Air Force One was changed to SAM 27000 the tail number of the aircraft!

My uncle got to ride in airforce one when it was in service because he was part of George Seniors campaign writers. It’s pretty dope seeing pictures of him with the president especially the ones with all random celebrities during the 90s
