I mean he got the whole library for pennies on the dollar and he had the bragging rights of saying he 'brought his competition'. In terms of actually doing something with it tho I mean it was his own decision of not wanting to pay the top guys as much as there time Warner deals to come in which he'd of probably made back from a real hot invasion angle instead of the Luke warm one we got.

but again its vince so he'd of made the WWF guys look strong and the WCW guys look like jabronis whoever he had for that angle.

Before the network, there was WWE 24/7 Classics on Demand, so yes, Vince was thinking about the idea as far back as 2004 when that launched, likely even further.
