Funny story, about half of my Nanas kids were born in the Philippines and the other half were born in the US, but they were all used to speaking english and english dialects.

So, whenever my Nana made them Bistek, they all thought that because of her heavy accent, that she was calling it "Beef Steak", and they called it that for years.
